The 2025-26 GSCS Teachers of the Year were recognized at the Kiwanis Club of Griffin luncheon on Sept. 24. GSCS District Teacher of the Year Jodi McGavin shared her educational journey and story. Thank you, Kiwanis Club of Griffin, for celebrating these exceptional educators!

The Griffin-Spalding Partners in Education (PIE) raised almost $25,000 during its 24th annual golf tournament to benefit the teachers and students of the Griffin-Spalding County School System (GSCS). Thirty-six teams played in the tournament held at the City Park Golf Course on Friday, September 26. Proceeds from the tournament are used to fund classroom grants, field trip grants and teacher tuition reimbursement scholarships. This year’s first-place team was SRS Inc.; the second-place team was Jackson Road Elementary; and the third-place team was the Griffin Exchange Club. Read more: https://5il.co/3qh4a

September 8-12, 2025, is Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Week! Join us in recognizing Mr. Kalo Oglesby, Rehoboth Road Middle School Athletic Coordinator! Athletic administrators are the leaders who make education-based athletics possible. They work behind the scenes to schedule games, support coaches, ensure safety, and most importantly, create opportunities for student-athletes to grow and succeed. Please join us in thanking our athletic administrators for their dedication, vision, and commitment to building school pride and shaping the student experience.

RRMS students strive for 95% attendance each month. Students cannot learn and often fall behind in their studies when they are not in attendance at school. Please help your student arrive to school each day prepared for success! Please note GSCS's policy regarding chronic absenteeism.
